大會專題演講講者介紹:Dr. Lynde Tan

Dr Lynde Tan is an Associate Professor (Digital Literacies and Language Education) at the School of Education in Western Sydney University, Australia. Her research focuses on teacher education, literacies, and innovative pedagogies. She draws on diverse theoretical frameworks to examine the integration of emerging technologies, including augmented reality and generative AI.

A multi-award-winning educator, Lynde received the 2019 Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning for her research-infused innovative teaching. She recently led and completed a prestigious national research grant on augmented reality in primary education with her research leading to the development  of nationally used professional development resources across Australia to enhance multimodal literacies. Her publication was shortlisted for the 2022 Educational Publishing Awards Australia.

Beyond Australia, her research has gained increasing international recognition. A survey instrument she developed to assess teachers' digital literacy was cited in the OECD Education Working Paper (2023) and featured in a global systematic review to inform policy discussions. In recognition of her impactful contributions to research, she was named Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow at WSU in 2023, and currently serves as Global Fellow at Ewha Womans University in Korea and Adjunct Professor at Universitas Sebelas Maret in Indonesia.

Her innovative contributions to culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms have led to invitations to co-lead cross-institutional research projects, deliver keynotes across Southeast Asia, and teach English-medium courses at Huaqiao University, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and Fu Jen Catholic University. She was also commissioned by Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to design and deliver literacy courses for educators, aimed at strengthening teacher education nationwide.

She is also a Guest Editor for an upcoming special issue of Linguistics and Education, titled "Understanding Language Use in Human–Generative AI Communication in Educational Contexts." With such extensive experience, Lynde brings to this keynote a rich perspective on digital innovation, cross-cultural pedagogy, and global education futures.
